Choosing your notifications

Choose what Devalay tells you about in Settings, under Notifications. The website and the app (version 1.1.20 or later) have every setting below, except browser notifications, which are on the website only.

Pause all

Turns off every notification until you turn it back on.

Posts, comments and tags

For activity on your posts, comments on them, and times you’re tagged, you can choose:

• Everyone: hear from anyone.
• People you follow: hear only from people you follow.
• Off: hear nothing of that kind.

Other settings

• Follow requests and accepted follow requests.
• Account suggestions: people you might want to follow.
• Marketplace updates: orders and similar updates.
• Messages: new direct messages.
• Glimpses: new glimpses from people you follow, or off.

Email digest

A roll-up email of the notifications you haven’t read. Choose daily, weekly, or off.

Browser notifications

On the website, your browser may ask whether Devalay can send you notifications. To turn them off or on for the browser you’re using, open Settings, choose Notifications, and use Notifications on this browser. Your other browsers and the app aren’t affected.

If the switch can’t be turned on, your browser is blocking notifications from Devalay. Allow them in your browser’s site settings, then try again.
