Making your account private

When your account is private:

• People who don’t follow you can’t see your posts or your glimpses.
• Anyone who wants to follow you sends a follow request, which you can accept or decline.

To turn it on or off, open Settings and choose Account privacy. This works on the website and in the app.

Choosing who can comment

You can let everyone comment on your posts, or only your followers. The choice covers replies too, so someone who can’t comment also can’t reply to a comment on your post.

You can always comment on your own posts.

Change it in Settings, under Account privacy.

• Block someone to stop them seeing your content or messaging you.
