Verifying your profile

A verified badge shows that the person in your profile photo is really you.

Before you start

You need a profile photo that clearly shows your face. Your selfie is compared with it, so verification can’t start without one.

How to verify

• On the website, open Settings and choose Verify your profile.
• In the app, open your profile and choose Verify your profile with a selfie.

Take a clear selfie with your face well lit. It’s checked automatically against your profile photo, and once it matches, the badge appears on your profile.

Attempts

You have three attempts. An attempt is used only when the check finishes and your selfie either doesn’t match your profile photo or doesn’t show a face. If the check can’t run because of a problem on our side, or because your profile photo has no clear face, the attempt isn’t used.

If it doesn’t work

• Use a profile photo where your face is clear and not covered.
• Take the selfie in good light, facing the camera.
• If you’ve used all your attempts, send us a message.
