The values Devalay is built on
Devalay is a home for people who love India’s temples, festivals, traditions and the communities around them. Whether you come here to share, learn or simply look around, these values shape how we grow together.
1. Respect for culture and tradition
Devalay celebrates temples, festivals, rituals, arts and the wisdom passed down with them.
- Don’t mock, misrepresent or misuse sacred symbols.
- Share what is true, and share it respectfully.
- Credit your sources.
2. Kindness in how you speak
Words have weight. We ask for conversation that is respectful and caring.
- No abuse or hate speech.
- No trolling or shaming.
- Disagreeing is fine. Disrespect is not.
3. Devotion without division
Devalay welcomes every Indian faith, tradition and regional practice.
- No claims that one faith is above another.
- No insulting any deity, belief or temple.
Everyone’s devotion deserves respect.
4. Sincerity over popularity
- Share real experiences, stories and learning.
- Quality matters more than quantity.
- Post to add something, not only to be noticed.
5. Honesty when you sell
If you sell on Devalay:
- Describe what you sell honestly.
- Deliver what you promise.
- Don’t exploit people’s faith for profit.
6. No harmful content
Devalay does not allow:
- Nudity, violence or explicit content.
- Scams, spam or fake accounts.
- Anything that threatens someone’s safety or dignity.
Content like this can be removed, and accounts that post it can be suspended.
Keeping Devalay what it is
Treat this place the way you would treat a temple. By using Devalay you agree to uphold these values, and breaking them can lead to a warning, removal of what you posted, or suspension of your account.
