What to share, and what to avoid
Devalay is built for meaningful sharing. These guidelines cover posts, glimpses, and the photos and videos you add to them.
What we’d love you to share
- Temples: darshan, festivals, rituals and your visits.
- Spiritual wisdom: shlokas, mantras, teachings and reflections.
- Culture: music, dance, art, crafts and performances.
- Everyday practice: yoga, meditation and a life lived by your values.
- Stories: family memories, festival moments and lessons learned.
- Videos: bhajans, temple walk-throughs and traditions.
Be real, and share what uplifts, teaches or inspires.
What not to post
- Nudity or explicit content, including provocative or inappropriate images.
- Hate speech or trolling: insults, threats, or mocking anyone’s faith.
- Misinformation: unverified claims, false teachings or fake health advice.
- Spam: scams, pyramid schemes or misleading promotions.
- Disrespect toward deities, temples, priests or rituals.
- Fake identities: pretending to be someone else, or misleading people about who you are.
Photos are checked automatically when you upload them, and videos shortly after they are posted. Anything that breaks these guidelines can be removed.
Tone and intent
- Clarity: give meaning and context.
- Humility: share without showing off.
- Civility: respect everyone’s journey.
A simple test
If you’re unsure, ask yourself: would I say or show this inside a temple? If not, please think again before posting.
